Expedia Cruises has announced significant growth in 2024, with the company surpassing 260 locations and earning multiple accolades throughout the year, reflecting its strong performance and market presence. The 37-year-old brand, recognized for its exceptional cruise offerings, continues to expand its footprint and attract attention across the travel industry.
Matthew Eichhorst, President of Expedia Cruises, expressed confidence in the cruise industry’s continued growth: “I am very optimistic that the cruise industry will continue its impressive growth trajectory in 2025 and beyond,” Eichhorst stated. He highlighted strong consumer demand, a diverse range of product offerings, and exciting investments in short itineraries, private islands, and beach clubs in the Caribbean as key drivers behind the company’s momentum. With the expansion of their franchise network, Expedia is well-positioned to cater to this demand and offer unforgettable vacation experiences to travelers worldwide.
The company saw 13 new locations open in 2024, with plans to add 15 more locations in 2025 across key regions including Florida, Texas, California, New York, and Georgia. Notable new openings include a location in Folsom, California, by Lisa and Shawn Yahrling, a branch in Bountiful, Utah, by Garimirka and Ramon Chaparro, and a new center in Clermont, Florida, by Felix and Stephie Reinberg.
In addition to new locations, Expedia Cruises also saw significant investment from existing franchisees, with multi-unit growth planned for 2025. Arrif and Shelina Meghji will open a location in Paradise Valley, Arizona, while Lorena Cagiano and Eric Dessureault are expanding into Mirabel, Québec. The brand is also making strides in Delaware with franchisees Ed Rosenberg and Jenny Eisenberg.
Looking ahead, Expedia Cruises plans to meet its goal of opening 12 more locations in 2025. Upcoming locations include Boise, Idaho, led by Mike and LesliAnn Hansen, San Pablo, California, by Heydee Mena, and a Florida-based center by Manuel Bakerdijian and Aida Tutunciyan. Additionally, Hira Asnani is expected to open a location in Newfields, New Hampshire by June.
Alongside its growth, Expedia Cruises has received recognition from industry leaders. The company earned multiple awards at Travel Weekly’s 2024 Annual Magellan Awards and Franchise Business Review. It also secured a spot on the 2024 Culture100 Awards and was named in Franchise Direct’s 2025 Top 100 Franchises list, underscoring its strong performance and commitment to excellence.
